In my secondary school, every year we do something to remember all the victims of violence against women, and this year, during the third period we left our classrooms and went to the playground, where we organized a demostration with the shape of a loop and we listened to some partners that read some women´s stories.
Nowadays there are a lot of people setting up protests for this reason, but also there are people that think and say that the violence against the women don´t exist, and in my opinion they are denying the number of victims of this type of violence that the government says.
And also there are men that say that people are always talking about the violence against women and never talk about the violence against men and I agree with them, but when you see the statistics and you compare the number of women and of men, you see that it is a big difference between the number of woman killed and the men killed.
In my opinion not only this type of violence has to disappear, but also all types of violence 
have to dissapear.

Who taught you the most things? Why the mother tongue?

In my family, my mother is one who has taught me to do everything, because my father has always been working in the field, and he didn´t have enough time to stay with me, now my mother goes to work too, but when I was young she always stayed with me.
I have two sisters, but when I was a child one of them was studying in the secondary school and she didn´t spend time with me, the other was in the school and she always stayed with me. So I learned to talk with my mother and my sister.
I think that mother tongue is called like that, because in the past the children used to be always with their mothers, because women didn´t go to work, they were always in the house, cleaning the dust or cooking the meals, and the men were working in their jobs. They didn´t spend much time with their children, because they thought that it was a thing that the women had to do.
Nowadays men think differently than before and they want to spend time with their children and in some families it is the father who teach the children to do everything, and the mothers are working, but there are people that think woman must to stay at home and it is the man who must work and earn money.
In my opinion  men and  women can both have a job and they can also both stay at home with the children teaching them different things.

Summer holidays passed long ago, but...

The next holdays I will get is Christmas, I like Christmas because it is when the family meets to eat different types of food and they talk  to each other.
When I was a child I liked Christmas because I used to get a lot of presents from my family and because we used to decorate my house with garlands, and we decorated a tree with a lot of colourful ornaments, now I don´t get the same presents as before, but I still like decorating my house.

At Christmas I don´t know what I´ll do, but I want to go to see snow, because I have rarely seen snow, I have only seen the snow three times, the reason why I don´t see snow is because I lived all my live here near the coast,and I rarely go to Granada.
The only thing that I don´t like of Christmas is that this holidays are shortest than the summer holidays, they only last two weeks, but I prefer these holidays because it is colder than others and you can be very peaceful ay home.

If my family will wins the lottery, my mum says that she make a country house with a very beautiful garden, and she says that we will buy the things that we want. She really hopes that one year she´ll win  the lottery and I hope her dream comes true.

Last summer, I went with my parents to Paris, to stay here and visit the Eiffel Tower and "Disneyland Paris". I was excited because I hadn´t  been out of Spain before and I hadn´t been to any theme park before. 

When we finally entered the park there were too many queues and we couldn´t go on many attractions, so we had to wait. There were things of Disney everywhere, it was fantastic!

My sister told me to go to water attractions, at first I didn´t like it at all, but when we were in the attraction it was good fun. Later we went to see a perfomance of differents cartoons of Disney and finally we left the park.

What a fantastic day! If I have the chance to go again, I will go without thinking.

Nowadays we celebrate Halloween as a party, some families get together and eat different types of food and the kids go out to the street, house to house asking for candies wearing a costume, usually of a monster.
Halloween came from the fact that people thought that 31st October was the day that the souls of death people came out and went down the street. In the past the people gathered and made a huge fire  to drive the death back to the spirit world and keep them away from the living beings. Nowadays this culture has dissapeared and not many people believe in goshts and they think that Halloween is just  humbug.

In our days hardly anyone  knows about where Halloween came from, and the old people say that in the past they didn´t celebrate anything they only got together and ate chestnusts and the drank anisette. My family or relatives don´t meet, but eat grilled chestnusts and we see a film.

In my opinion Halloween is a great party even though nowadays we don´t believe in ghosts, but we can believe in them for a moment when we see some great films.

A biography of a famous band

The British group The Beatles formed in 1957. None of the four, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison or Ringo Starr has been before in another banda. The name The Beatles came from beetle and beat music.
The Beatles became international famous, when they created the style roch with a guitar and the drum. They had many bits, as Let It Be or Hey Jude, two or their best hits. They had 22 awards, some of wich were World Music Awards. During that time they played skiffle, rock and roll, beat música or rock pop. They always sang in English and al his albums were in English. The Beatles finally split up in 1970.
In the last few years, their music has been popular again because Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr continue singing, in two different group, in ours days.

Nowadays we take care of things that don't need too much care and we don't take care of things that we really need.
The nature is one of these things, too many people don't take care of nature and this is one of the most important things in the world, because without nature we wouldn't survive too long.
Nature give us one important thing that we need to survive, this is 02 this is a gas that our organism needs to make the breath and to push out the CO2.
In my opinion we need stop doing some things that damage nature and take more care of nature because this isn't only for us, this is for our children and for our future children. We need to think about the present and the future.

The Amazon rainforest, a big issue for the entire

Nowadays there are too many fires on Earth. But, this fire is more important than others because the Amazon is the lung of Earth, for this the news is saying that this problem not only affects Brazil, but also all the world.
When it happened the news didn´t say anything and I don´t know why, but after a few weeks all the news were talking about this, because some rich people donated money to save the Amazon.
In my opinion these things shouldn´t happen again because these things are very bad for the world, the animals, the plants and of course the humans.
This doesn´t only release Co2, but also kill animals, remove the home of different types of animals, and burn too many species of trees, and species of herbs... The Amazon´s fire of course affects the climate change, which melts the poles and, therefore, makes the sea levels up, and the scientists say that in 2050 some big cities will disappear.

Max: I've got to play un the final of a tennis competition, and I'm worried I don't think I can do it!

Nick: Of course you can! You are very good at tennis. You don't need to worry.

Max: Well the problem is, when I play in front of people I feel nervous and I can't concetrate.

Today, technology is too present in our lives and it has advanced a lot. You can do everything with a computer, a tablet or a mobile phone from playing video games to buying things or taking photos. It is so good, but the problem comes when you abuse of the technology or when you give them a bad use, because you can have problems like insolation.
This people, who work in Silicon Valley, limit the use of the mobile phone or computer of their children because they know that it can produce a lot of illnesses, and they want that their children to use old ways of search information or to solve a problem.
In my opinion, mobile phones are so good it you don't give them a bad use and if you know when to stop using the mobile phone, but the kids don't know when stop using this technology because theirs brains aren't mature enough.

I'm not allergic to nuts or gluten. And I'm not a lactose intolerant, but I have relatives that are allergic and this is difficult because they mustn't eat some kinds of food.

Allergies are a set of responses of the immunologic system and in this case it appears when you eat the food you are allergic of.

For this reason you must be very careful when you eat some food if you have some allergics.

I'm very lucky because I don't have food allergies I have some allergies an  allergy to dust, and that's why I can eat all types of food.

Hi David, 

Thanks for the email with your news. My news is that I'm going camping with muy parents in Cáceres this summer! I'm going to start with my parents and my cousins. The idea is that we are going to stay there for five days. It's really exciting, but my problem is that I think that we have lost un the middle of the forest.

I've never been on a camping before, and the truth is I'm really worried about camping. I don't know what to do! 

I'm going to tell it to my mum. What do you think?

How beautiful holidays! We've been to Tarragona for  three days and since we left Tarragona we  have driven 96 km, so we have already arrived at Barcelona. Here we had a bread and tomato at muy cousin's house. My favourite place that I visited was Sagrada Familia- what and incredible building! I've seen a lot of pictures of the Park  Güell so I was very excited, but we haven't seen it. What a dissapointment!

Yesterday we went to Gerona, where we stayed the night, and we didn't see anything. We've going to ser it tomorrow. How dissapointing!

What really matters in life

Today loneliness and social insolation are very common, specially in people over the age of 75.
These people spend a lot of time without talking to a friend, neighbour or family member. They can feel insolated for many reasons, as the death of friends, bad health... These things could generate depression or other problems too.
Only in the UK there are more than 2 million people over the age of 75 who live alone.
These people should stay positive, keep in touch with family or go out with friends.

I think that we need to help these people staying with them and ,in my opinion, loneliness should never exist because it is an awful illness.

Speechless

In Spanish ''speechless'' means ''sin palabras''. This noun comes from the verb to speak if you add the suffix -less to the noun speech you've got the word 'speechless' which means unable to speak specially as the temporary result of shock or some strong emotion. A word similar to speechless is dumbstruck.
More examples of this style of suffix are careless, cheerless, endless, fearless, hopeless or painless.
I think that a lot of things can leave you speechless as visit to a museum, a song or an advance in technology.
One of the things that left me speechless was visiting the Prado Museum in Madrid. How beautiful!

I think that when we know the other cultures is best for us because we can understand other people better .
I like reading and learning new things from other cultures like Chinese culture or Japanese culture, and now I know a lot of things about these cultures. 
This year is the year of the pig, but why is the year of animals in China? It is so easy the legends tells this tradition.
Some tales tells about a mythical beast called Nyan that it eats people at the beggining of the year.
The last year was the year of the chicken and I don't know what the next year is the year of  .

An internet post about a concert

I've just  come back from a fantastic concert. It was in the Apollo Club, in the Market Street, near my grandparents' house.
There were hundreds of people dancing and enjoying themselves, it was from children to old people, it was amazing!
There were  lot of bands and I know all the bands, but for me the best was The Black Bee. They're from France, and play lots of styles, from pop rock to blues. The singer has a good voice, but I think that the drummer is the best of the band because he plays really well I like this band because they play a lot of styles of music and they play very well.
Finally, it you get the chance to ser them, go for it!

Describing life at summer camp

I went to a summer camp when I was ten years old and I didn't want to go. But, this summer camp was a big surprise, it was an amazing place.

We started activities at 9 o'clock and there were lots to choose from. There were two activities per  day, my favourites were handball, swimming and basketball. At night we sat around a fire inside the house and we used to tell stories, it was good fun.

We usually breakfast at eight o'clock and we usted to have lunch at half past four. The food  was delicious!

The weather was boiling, and I usually washed myself twice a day. For me, this summer camp  was and incredible experience. And if  you can, you should try it!

Like every year, people make new year's resolution and usually this resolutions are about our healthy and our diet.
In France they have resolved not eat meat or fish on the Mondays, and I think that it is a good idea.
And they create a new diet that it is flexitarianism, which is a diet that consists of no eating meating so often.
The Flexitarianism is like begin vegetarian, but flexible, so they don´t eat either meat or fish, but sometimes they eat meat when they feel the necessity.
I reckon that flexitarianism is better than begin vegetarian because they have a less strict diet.

Popeye the Sailor is 90 years old!!!

When I was younger I usually saw the episodes of Popeye the sailor on television.
I think they were very interesting and it is a pity they are not broadcast any more, because in these cartoons we learn many things as eating spinach.
I am very glad to hear that these cartoons are 90 years old and they are still remember by so many people, both young and old.

What was the best of 2018?

2018 has finished and a new year has begun. The 2018 was a good year filled of good moments.
In 2018 I learned new things and I met new friends, I passed 2°ESO and I am now in 3°ESO.
In this year I have travelled with my family and I have seen beautiful countryside.
 I hope that 2019 will be better than 2018.
It was a good year, but there was also bad moments and we need remember the legends that the world lost in 2018 such as Stan Lee, Stephen Hawking or George Bust

When I was younger I used to write letters to the Three Wise Men and to Santa Claus, but now I don't write letters to them anymore.
When I wrote letters, I used to ask for many presents and I didn't used to get all the presents that I asked for.
This Christmas I have got many presents from family, and my parents and I bought many presents for my little cousin and my aunt.
This year my family couldn't meet all because some of my uncles were travelling outside Spain.
In my opinion I have a good handwriting, but when I was younger I have a bad handwriting and lately I have improved it, I still want to improve it more.

Teachers and being a teacher

The Teacher´s day is on 27 of November in Spain, but Teacher´s international day is on 5th October.
In my opinion a teacher should be good at explaining and he should give us  homework to do , because although we hate homework it is very important to learn to do the exercises.
In my opinion, I think that being a teacher is very hardwork because you need to know what to do with the students and you need a lot of time to correct the homework and to correct all the work that you send to your students.
I think that be a teacher is a very hard work and I think that they spend a lot of time teaching  us all about their subjects and for this reason I admire the teacher who corrects all homework that he gives.
