Long live the King!!

Nowadays, we call king to people from all fields. We call them King in their fields because they are the best in what they do, for example you can be the king in football, basketball, tennis..., but not only in sports because we can also say that someone is a king in music or other different things or activities. 

Well, that is now, because in the past the only king that existed was the king who ruled the country. Before, there were kings in almost all countries at least in our continent, Europe. There was a king, for example, in England, in France, in Greece or in Spain. And there are some countries that still have a king like Greece or here in Spain, that we still have a king, Felipe VI, whose father is Juan Carlos I, his father was also a king, but he didn't get the crown.

In this field, we have today some problems, because there are people who want that figure, who rule the country, to dissapear because they think that he doesn't do anything. That is true in some part because now the king has a lot less power and duties, that is because the politicians have adquired some of them, so he doesn't have to do a lot of things. For this reason we are nowadays in a democracy and not in a monarchy.

Finally, as a conclusion, I think that is something good we have a king, a best person, doing something because it can motivate a lot of people to compete to try to get this title. In the case of the king in politics, I think that he still have some important things to do and that it still needs to exist the figure of a king to deal with the other countries.

Ready for the New Year?

A new year has already started and as usually people are doing lots of New Year's resolutions, but what is that? A New Year's resolution is like a promise that you do yourself, to do all the things that you expect to do during the year. There are people who achieve all, but there are people who make themselves lots of resolutions and don't achieve any of them. So resolutions can be good if you are determined to do them, but can be also bad for the people who don't achieve them.

2021 has finished and a new year has started, 2022, a year in which lot of people have so much expectation and confidence. They expect that all the bad things that are taking place now, like the Covid situation, which is getting worse because of all the new infections that are appearing in all places, and we can see now, better than ever, in our surrounding area, or lots of other bad things like climate change issue, will finish in this new year, but they are the same expectations as last year and they didn't achieve.

Last year was a difficult year because of different reasons, but at less for me it was better year than 2020. In 2021 I started 2º Bachillerato, which is the last school secondary year, and only in the first term I realise that it is really more difficult than last school year. Now, in 2022 I will finish this school year, but I need to improve more in all subjects to get good marks in all.

Finally, in my opinion, starting a new year can be really good, because all people recover their expectations and that they continue making efforts for what they want. For this new year I only hope that two issues will improve, on the one hand, the pandemic situation, and on the other hand, I hope that goverments do something to improve the situation with climate change, which is a really big problem.

Super Mario Bros

Super Mario Bros is one of the most popular games of Nintendo Company, we can say that because Super Mario saga is one of the most selling videogames sagas of all the world and the most selling videogame saga of Nintendo. The first Mario's videogame was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, who has created other famous videogames, like The Legend of Zelda or Star Fox. Miyamoto is really loved by all Nintendo fans and players, because he always directed really well all his videogames.

Nintendo started like a company producing some things really different from what they produce now. Nowadays Nintendo produces especially videogames of all genres, but at the beginning they started producing cards, in particular, Hanafuda cards. Hanafuda is a card game, originated in Japan, where the company has its main headquarters. Hanafuda cards are really beautiful because it have different draws on it.

Well, when I was a child I used to spend lots of hours playing and playing different videogames, among them I played Super Mario. The first Super Mario game I played was Super Mario Bros for Nintendo DS, what a good time I spent! I remember that I completed this videogame more than once, because it was one of my favouritie videogames. I also played more Super Mario games some time before and I still liked them.

Finally, I reckon that Super Mario saga is actually really famous. Not long time ago an interactive Super Mario theme park in Japan, and it has lots of tourist that visit it. There are also Lego's toys based on Super Mario, and they are really cool if I had these toys when I was a child, I would have been really happy. So, Super Mario is something that has marked the lives of all young people.

A cop to sort out climate change matters?

People think that Climate Change is a new problem, they think that it has existed for two or three years, but that's not true, because Climate Change has existed for many years, exactly for more than one hundred years. It started as a normal global heating, I say normal because the heating of our planet is something natural, but we have made that something natural becomes something really dangerous for all of us.

The problem is that before the people didn't give much importance to this problem and, even, they thought that it was false, that climate change didn't exist. Now we can see how those people were wrong, because it is already producing some changes in our enviroment and weather. For example, in the south of Spain we can see that now there are fewer rainy days than before, it rains less and climate change is to blame.

Luckily, now there are a lot of people that are worried about the climate change and its consequences. These people are looking for a solution to this problem, and in addition they aree celebrating a lot of conferences. Between them, the last conference the COP26. The COP26 was celebrated in Glasgow in Scotland, and presidents and ministers, like Joe Biden or Pedro Sánchez, from all over the world met there.

Finally, from my point of view, if we had acted before, it would have been easy to solve. But as we didn't do anything, we can't be worried about the past,but we must think about the present and the future. Because if we act now, the future will be better than how it will be if we don't act. I only wish we would do something to solve this problem and it is not too late.

Why is Andalucía so attractive for tourists?

Nowadays, tourism is one of the most important businesses in a lot of countries . We've just learned this because of the pandemic and the confinement, when all the types of tourism were prohibited. But now, the situation has improved, and we can travel again to different countries.

Here, in Spain, we have a very good fame like one of the best countries to visit. This has to be because of all the monuments or landmarks that we have, like "La Sagrada Familia" in Barcelona, but there are also many other reasons to visit Spain, for example, its weather or all the good beaches that we have.

Inside Spain, we have Andalucía the most visited place, because millions and millions of people visit it in a year. But, why is Andalucía so attractive for tourists? There are a lot of reasons, but among them we can highlight some. For example, Andalucía has an excellent weather and lots of beautiful beaches, so tourists can enjoy a lot. It also has a very good and famous gastronomy with local products like olive oil or ham.

Finally, I reckon that is a good fact that we have all this tourism. Because thanks to it there are a lot of people that have the opportunity to work in a job related with this sector- There are also some places that only earn money from tourism, so if we have less tourism, they will have to close. So tourism  is very important here, in Andalucía.  

Do you like science fiction stories/films? Why(not)?

Nowadays we have a lot of genres of stories and films, and we also have technologies to see a film or a seriesin our own house. We don't need to go to the cinema or other place. For this reason, we usually spend some time watching series or films, and each one sees the genre that he or she likes.

Among the main genres of stories that we have, we've got science fiction, a genre that consist in a future with lot of fictional science. The main things  that appear in this genre are, robots, spacecrafts, cyborgs, or even extraterrestial lifeforms. They are usually focus in issues like politics, or different social issues.

There are a lot of people who like this genre. The thought that in a future it can  happen make you feel interested or even bad, according to the film you watch. As people like this genre, there are a lot of famous science fiction films and stories, as Blade Runner, an old film, but it is still a really good film, or Alien, which is also an old film, but it is a really famous film, and finally one of the most famous science fiction films, the storie about a deadly robot, Terminator-

In my opinion, there are a lot of people who love these films because they take us out of the reality, and  show us  a future wit lots of interesting things that, for the moment, we can only dream about. These things can be thing really interesting such as self-sufficient robots that can have their own thought or even space trips to different planets.

Only you can make me happy

Nowadays we live in a society that don't realise if we are really happy or not, that is nobody thinks about the happiness of other people they don't know, we only think about our own happiness and about the happiness of the people that are around us, although there are also people that not even think about the welfare and happiness of the people around them, even if they are relatives or friends, they only take care of their own good.

So, we can make us a question, what or who makes us really happy?. This is a really important question that we don't think about it, that is why we don't realise what or who make us happy, and we usually realise it when we don't have something or someone with us, in that moment we realise that a thing or a person is really important for us. There are people that think that they don't need anything to be happy, but that's not true, because if we lose some things that we use nowadays, we don't know what to do, one example can be mobile phone, if we lose it, we almost go mad.

In my view, all of us need money to be happy because nowadays we need some things to be happy, and we must have money to buy it, and even if we haven't got money we can't do anything, for example the people who love travelling need money to travel, so if they haven't got money they can't travel to different places. We also need some people to be happy, all of us have some relatives and friends that make us happy when we spend our time with them.

Finally, in my opinion, nowadays we are in a society that makes us want money to be happy reaching a point that now there are a lot of people really selfish and materialistic that only think about their own good. I think that we mustn't reach that point, because that are only interested in money, are really bad people that don't take care of other people and don't love anybody, they only love money.
